Can Little Humans get a Cold from being wet or out in the Cold?
Only a cold virus can give you a cold. So being cold, in itself, can't make you sick. But being cold and wet can cause a dormant virus (one that's already in your system) to flare up, triggering symptoms.
Colds are more common during cold seasons like Harmattan, so people made the assumption that being cold somehow caused colds or made you more susceptible to catching them
But it’s not physiologically possible to get sick just from being cold.
Ironically, the real reason why colds are more common in the winter is that we’re spending more time indoors, which gives us more opportunities to pick up germs from others in tight spaces.
Let’s just say stopping your LHs from playing outside when it’s cold or getting wet isn’t the strategy to prevent them from catching a cold,
